No-exam life insurance
Eligibility for fast-track underwriting, the process if you qualify, and what happens if you do not.
Multiple carriers now provide accelerated underwriting: for applicants within certain ages and coverage ranges in good health, underwriting moves quickly.
What it changes
Waiving an exam is not the same as waiving underwriting. Your responses remain subject to verification, and coverage cannot be issued until the carrier confirms your health information.
Who tends to qualify
Generally, people under age 60 seeking coverage up to the carrier's fast-track cap with health responses indicating good or excellent status qualify for expedited review.
Should an exam be necessary, it usually lasts 20 to 30 minutes and occurs at your home or workplace, conducted by a medical professional.
