Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
Not at all. To receive rate quotes, this tool only requires six pieces of information: your gender, birth date, general health status, tobacco history, desired coverage amount, and preferred term length. That's sufficient for carriers to provide their quotes. Personal details like your name, address, or complete medical history are only requested if you decide to proceed with an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
What you see here reflects the rates each carrier offers based on the health classification you selected. After you apply, the chosen carrier will conduct underwriting and may affirm, improve, or adjust that classification, which could affect your actual premium. This website makes no guarantee about insurance pricing or availability.
What happens when I click Apply?
You'll enter your name, and we'll use your current quote details to launch an application in the carriers' application system. The process is fully online with the ability to pause and return later; you sign using electronic signature. Susman Insurance Agency, which holds California License 0B75129, manages the application on your behalf.
Will I need a medical exam?
That depends on the specific carrier, the coverage amount you've chosen, and how you answered the health questions. Some carriers now offer fast approval paths for qualified applicants without a medical exam; each quote on this site indicates whether the carrier may waive an exam, might require one, or typically requires one for your situation.
Is a longer term better?
Term length should match the time period during which your family or business would suffer financially from your absence: a home loan, dependents at home, or business obligations. Longer term lengths have higher monthly costs but lock in your rate over more years. You can put multiple term lengths side by side on this site to compare: 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 years.
Does this site sell my information?
Absolutely not. The quoting tool does not store or require your contact information, we do not buy, sell, or transfer visitor data to other parties, and we do not use cookies for tracking purposes. Please review our privacy page for a complete accounting of what data is collected and which organizations have access to it.
